Undead Gentleman

The Undead Gentleman is a buttoned-up take on a Zombie, first created by Martin Cate at @smugglerscovesf and featured in his book, Smuggler’s Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum, and the Cult of Tiki. Strong but not like you’re gonna cough after your first sip. Contains a lot of booze, so take it easy.

THE UNDEAD GENTLEMAN

1 1/2 oz AGED RUM
1 oz OVERPROOFED RUM
1/2 oz FALERNUM
1/2 oz LIME JUICE
1/2 oz GRAPEFRUIT JUICE
1/2 oz CINNAMON SYRUP
1 dash AROMATIC BITTERS
Absinthe wash glass

Shake ingredients with cubed ice until the shaker gets frosty. Double strain into a coup or martini glass. Minimal garnish, for class.
