Cinnamon Girl

A tiki riff on a Margarita, this is one of my new favorite drinks. Thanks to Brad Farran at Death & Co. for creating this one. Wedges of orange muddled in the shaker add just enough orange flavor and essence without overpowering the rum or tequila, plus the cinnamon syrup adds a nice touch.

CINNAMON GIRL

2 wedges ORANGE

2 oz AGED TEQUILA

1/4 oz DARK RUM

3/4 oz LIME JUICE

1/2 oz CINNAMON SYRUP

1/4 oz SIMPLE SYRUP

1 dash ORANGE BITTERS

Gently muddle the orange wedges in the bottom of a shaker, just enough to release the juice. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into double rocks glass with crushed ice. Garnish with an orange wheel and a stick of cinnamon.
