Buoy Buoy Back Bar

Official Playlists

The best bars have a soundtrack that sets the tone, doesn’t distract but also calls attention to how good it is. That’s what I think the following playlists do. Listen on Spotify or buy a tape, if you’re into that.

SCROLL FOR MORE

Vol 1 - Roots of the Backbar

Exotica sounds from Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman and others who set the stage for tiki bars and an entire culture of escapism.

Vol 2 - No Words, Just Vibes

I don’t think there’s a single lyric in this entire playlist. But it is filled with mellow guitar sounds and classic surf vibes.

Vol 3 - Dub, Dub, Dub

Nothing’s better on a hot day than a playlist full of 70s dub out of Jamaica. Shake a drink, spark one up and kick back.

Vol 4 - Original Grooves

A collection of groovy tunes you'll find yourself boppin' along with. Mostly groups out Africa from the 60s up to today.

Vol 5 - Ya, It’s Probably Haunted

There’s something about spooky music and tiki bars that go together. From zombies to skulls to sunken ships, these tunes spread the mood.

Vol 7 - It’s Always 4:20 Somewhere

Relaxed instrumentals you can vibe to. Best enjoyed outside in the sunshine or late at night echoing through the house.
