Limited edition Deep Sea Mai Tai glass
For my first collab, I reached out to long-time friend, former co-worker and all-time artist, Kyle Sauter. I worked with Kyle at Burton Snowboards and was always impressed by his detailed style. Kyle’s done snowboard graphics, beer packaging and tons of concert posters. I thought his style would fit the Buoy Buoy vibe perfectly.
We came up with a Kraken-inspired design that celebrates the ongoing mystery of the deep sea. 200 years ago people were afraid of sea monsters. Fast forward to today and we know more about outer space than we do the ocean. Maybe there are monsters out there like this? Who knows.
Get your set of glasses today, because once they’re gone, they’re gone.
For our first limited-edition glass project, I reached out to my friend and super-talented artist, Kyle Sauter. As the current art director for Slush Magazine, Kyle has done tons of graphics, including show posters, beer labels and snowboards. For this glass, we were thinking about what lies in the depths of the sea. 200 years ago people were afraid of sea monsters. Fast forward to today and we know more about outer space than we do the ocean. Pretty wild.
